In case you missed it, there has been a vacant seat open on the Baton Rouge Planning and Zoning Commission. This month, the highly sought after seat was filled and a new Commission member appointed.

Chosen by the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Council from a pool of highly qualified candidates, Juneau begins her Commission term immediately.

Including comprehensive and advance planning duties, the Planning Commission also develops zoning and subdivision regulations, and reviews rezoning and subdivision applications. The Commission and the Planning staff make recommendations to the Metropolitan Council for ordinances, ordinance changes and land use requirements.
